The Task – to demolish two chimneys each 86 m high, belonging to a power station, while preventing environmental damage.
The Challenge – the power station is active and the chimney cutting has to be performed while at the same time preventing damage to property or danger to the station’s workers.
The Solution – SAN has developed a designated cutting platform that, with the use of a crane, enables the cutting and the lowering of 5 m “slices” with maximal safety. The task was completed within 3 months with the client’s with operation of the cutting platform by the client.
